To feel seen, heard, and understood
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Alabama and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am currently pursuing advanced training to become a Registered Play Therapist.
I have over three years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families. My areas of focus include anxiety, school refusal, depression, trauma, and emotional regulation. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the client and family.
My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space grounded in unconditional positive regard for clients to feel seen, heard, and understood. I value a family systems perspective and believe meaningful change happens with an understanding of the broader context of life and relationships. My hope is to walk along side clients and their families and help them move toward a deeper sense of self-understanding, belonging, and acceptance.
Faith-based counseling is available upon request.
